| We had an awesome hunt last nIght! It was the first time Kristin had been with me during a kill. We had been trying for days to get a doe kill on video and it just wouldn't come together. Earlier today we even had several does come out but got busted twice when I was trying to draw my bow. After getting pretty bummed out, we stayed quiet and then all of a sudden all these Axis bucks showed up. We have never seen Axis bucks on our property and this was a total surprise. We even got the hunt on video!! SUBU!!!!! |
 Kristin is turning into a total hunter. She still hasn't harvested one herself, but something tells me it won't be long. She was more pumped on this hunt than I was!! Really cool!  I am still kind of in shock this buck showed up. Unfortunately he busted up the other side of his rack, but a trophy none the less.  Here is a throwback shot of Pops when they first starting building the ranch. He shot this rattler right where they put the house!  Here is another throwback shot of my Grandpa in Africa. Who knows how old this shot is, but it is really cool. He spent years on safari in Africa and it was his biggest passion in life. He is the inspiration in the name "Surfari Charters". I will dig up some more old pics to share.  Here is a screen shot from the video. That blurry white line underneath the middle buck is the arrow in mid flight about to double lung this monster!!  The best part of having a broken back is making your Wife and Mom drag your harvest out of the woods!! hahahhahaha |
