| This weekend we had a 2 day Surf Contest held at Playa Santana. This is the second to last contest in the Nicaraguan Surf Circuit Series. There were a lot of talented competitors showing off their skills in the water for the event, and luckily we had some pretty great waves and conditions for a contest to be held in. The local rippers had some stiff competition for this event in the Open International due to several semi-Pros being in town from Florida. Everyone held their own though, and Surfari Charters managed to pull it out once again and get on the podium to represent with some SUBU!!! Erin and Kristin teamed up for 2nd and 3rd place in Women's (although everyone on our end believes Erin should have taken 1st due to a snake job in the final heat). Lance nabbed 3rd in the Open International to take his place on the SUBU award podium too. We'll see how everyone does in a few weeks for the final event of the surf circuit to be held at Popoyo. Until then...SUBU!!!! |
