It's not too often that we have guests come down from Texas, but whenever we do they pretty much always slay the fish. This week we had Albert, his son Milby, KK and Mike join us for a nice SUBU session out at sea. After surfing our brains out, we headed several miles out to a zone that had been hot for a few days. We started bowing up the rods pretty much right off the start and piled the cooler with some nice Mackerals. We decided it was time to move to another zone to see what else we could find when midway there we spotted Flipper feeding on some bait. We made a pass, got hit really hard on the long line, the fish took off, the drag was running and then nothing. Whatever it was shook the hook. While doubling back on the same spot, I switched the short line and not 5 seconds later I saw a Yellowfin hit it hard and dive straight down. Before I could pass the rod over the two long line rods doubled over and we were fighting a triple-header. After several minutes, Albert, KK and Mike got them to the side of the boat and we landed them all in the cooler. We weren't done yet though because we still had to get the grom, Milby, bowed up on a Yellowfin too. We circled back and immediately the shotgun got slammed and it was game on. Milby wanted to show the grown-ups how it was done and spanked what was debatably the biggest of the four tuna to the boat. With a pile of fish in the box, we knew we were going to be eating good and decided to head back in. It was a great day of fishing and it was time to go surf again. Our in-house photographer Erin, www.ebosurfphoto.com, came along with us too and got some insane underwater photos of the tuna. Thanks EBO!!

Here are the surf photos from the Texas boys trip out in the boat. EBO was shooting from land and water and got some sick ones of everyone. Gnarly Norling got the water shot of the day and Captain Jeff was out there pulling off some big turns. Thanks again to Erin with www.ebosurfphoto.com for the pics.
