Suicide Lance
"We met a guy there named Lance that was super-cool and very hospitable. He and his fiancé, Kristin, let Tom shoot the outer reef when it was on from their boat.  He took the boys fishing and beat us all in drunken ping pong over at his place. He got the nickname Suicide Lance, well, because he would go on anything at the outer reef.  Wind in his face, hair blown back, over the ledge on the late ones, Suicide Lance was going to matter what. He was rushing some late ones and got all the boys psyching. Many thanks Lance and Kristin for the hospitality, and something tells me we'll be seeing you guys sometime soon."

A Nicaragua reef break does a nearly perfect imitation of Pipeline, and TC takes full advantage with a day of tow-ins.  About this day, Tom said, "I pushed it as much as I could, though some of the tow-in sessions were very full-on.  Towing can be pretty ruthless on the body, and on a couple days I think I may have overdone it."
